The Great Eagle Group Organises 60th Anniversary Charity Walking Challenge
Making Donation to Support Heep Hong Society and Promoting Low-carbon Lifestyle Among Employees

(12 October 2023, Hong Kong) – The Great Eagle Group organised a Charity Walking Challenge in late September to celebrate its 60th anniversary, with an aim to encourage employees to raise funds for the Children and Youth Training Fund of the Heep Hong Society by participating in the walking program.

A total of 475 employees took part in the 7-day Charity Walking Challenge. Through the collective efforts of all participants, the event successfully reached the group target of 6 million steps. Based on the results, the Group donated HK$150,000 to the Heep Hong Society to support its Children and Youth Training Fund. The funding provides assistance to the economically disadvantaged families with children and youth with special needs, enabling them to receive timely assessments and professional trainings.

Mr Alexander Lo, Executive Director of Great Eagle Holdings Limited, said, “The Great Eagle Group has always been committed to promoting sustainable development. As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we organised the Charity Walking Challenge to encourage employees to participate in walking exercises, live a low-carbon lifestyle, and raise funds for the Heep Hong Society. We are delighted to see the enthusiastic response from our colleagues who put in their share of efforts to support this charitable initiative, bringing warmth to those in need and witnessing an important milestone for the Group.”

Ms Rachel Leung, Chief Executive Officer of Heep Hong Society, said, “Heep Hong Society is honoured to be the beneficiary organisation of the Great Eagle Group's 60th Anniversary Charity Walking Challenge. The funds raised will be used for our Children and Youth Training Fund, providing appropriate services for children and youth with special needs from low-income families. We are glad to celebrate Heep Hong Society's 60th anniversary this year, and we look forward to becoming long-term partners with Great Eagle to promote a harmonious and inclusive society.”
